Annual Board Meeting Minutes

May 30, 2026

Meeting Minutes As Follows:

 

  1. Meeting called to order at 09:05.

  2. Introductions by all attending.

  3. Quorum confirmed.

  4. Last months meeting minutes reviewed, and approved.

  5. Proposal for business and agricultural water rates were discussed. Further information gathering was proposed, and will be researched with L.A. County, and other entities. Additional information will be presented at next months meeting.

  6. Water system upgrades: Removal of “Transite” (asbestos) pipe which the State Water Board is aware of being in our distribution system. Board to reach out to CalMutual in regards to asbestos pipe. Need to install lateral shut-offs on water main line. Isolation plan to be developed.

  7. A review of other Mutual Water Companies was conducted on price’s charged, rates and standards. 1. Monthly charge on size of water meter, 2. Tiered water rate usage, 3. Construction fee.

  8. These were consistence charges and standards. The need is to bring our water company up to a level to meet county and state standards.

  9. Motion was given, and approved, to move forward with all aspects of this issue and to present further information at next months meeting.

  10. Currently the water distribution system has four “flush-outs” that are opened once each month. Schematic to be developed showing location of each “flush-out” with recommending improvements.

  11. Need to have a qualified “Risk Assessment” individual to perform property assessments. State Water Board requesting completion.

  12. Draft of Bacteriological Site Sampling Plan completed.

  13. Need to develop 2025 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR).

  14. New business: Past years Production reports have not been completed.

  15. BOD to update all business, and contact information.

  16. Recommendation to create the position of “Work Crew Leader”, motion was made and carried. All were in favor, position developed and filled.

  17. Fire clearances and burn permits needed.

  18. Awaiting return of our Non-Profit status. A follow-up will be made.

  19. Drought Awareness Plan to be developed.

  20. Next month meeting date: June 27, 2026 at 0900.

  21. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 AM.
