Monthly Board Meeting Minutes

 

April 25, 2026

 

Meeting Minutes are as follows:

 

 

  1. Meeting called to order at 09:07.
  2. Introductions by all in attendance.
  3. Quorum confirmed.
  4. Last month's meeting minutes reviewed, and approved as read.
  5. New By-Laws handed out.
  6. Maintenance fee proposed to be added to monthly water billing.
  7. Proposal of a $2.00 maintenance fee to cover costs for Water Yard:
    • Roof and building repairs.
    • Electrical service weatherproofing and protection.
    • Replacement of 1-inch service line connected to L.A. County.
    • Gate, fence replacement, security improvements.
    • Barrier protection for customers' water service.
    • Building / Electrical Codes adherence at Water Yard.
  8. Discussion was held.
  9. Motion to pass $2.00 maintenance fee (M. Cole, Pres.), seconded (M. Velasquez, Treas.).
  10. Vote taken, motion carried.  Majority of property owners in attendance were in favor of implementing a $2.00 maintenance fee into monthly billing.
  11. Informative issue brought forward addressing high-volume water users and the development of corporate rates to business and agricultural users.  Further discussion on this matter tabled until next month's meeting.
  12. Needs for making water system infrastructure as modern as we possibly can.  Issue to be discussed at next meeting.
  13. Company web site has been created, available with current updates.
  14. New business: Backflow device requirements with high-risk assessments.  Additional information on this topic tabled for next meeting.
  15. Next month meeting date: May 30, 2026 at 0900.
